Identity Verification (KYC)
KYC — "Know Your Customer" — is the identity check most payment platforms require before moving significant money. On Onflow Ads it is progressive: the requirement scales with how much you have actually been paid out over the lifetime of your account. A new seller faces no paperwork at all, and a high-volume seller verifies in steps as their earnings grow.
Nothing here gates your listings, your bookings or your standing. It gates one thing only: releasing a payout that would carry you past a threshold.
The thresholds
| Lifetime payouts reach | Required level | What it takes | How fast it clears |
|---|---|---|---|
| $500 | Basic | Confirm your legal name and country | Instantly — self-serve |
| $5,000 | Identity | The Onflow Ads team verifies your identity | Reviewed by the team |
| $25,000 | Enhanced | Enhanced due diligence completed by the Onflow Ads team | Reviewed by the team |
"Lifetime payouts" means the sum of your completed placement payouts — not your wallet balance, not your listing prices, not money still in escrow.
No government-ID numbers are ever collected or stored through the website. The only fields you enter are your legal name and country. The higher levels are completed by the Onflow Ads team out of band.
How the gate works
The check runs at the moment a payout is about to release, and it counts the payout being released — so the exact deal that would carry you across a threshold is the one that gets gated, never one payout too late.
- If your verification level already covers the new total, nothing happens. Most payouts release without you ever noticing the system exists.
- If it does not, that payout is held — never lost — and the booking shows: "This payout crosses a verification threshold. Complete verification on your Paid Promotions profile to release it — your funds are held safely until then."
The same gate applies to a normal claim, to instant payout, and to automatic release, so there is no way to route around it and no way to lose money to it.
Everything else about your account keeps working while a payout is held: other payouts below the threshold, your listings, your bookings, your withdrawals of money already in the wallet.
Verifying
When action is needed — or is about to be — your bookings queue at https://onflowads.com/telegram/dashboard/paid-promotion/bookings shows a shield-marked card at the top. Under the heading Verification required it names what is needed and your current lifetime payout figure, then asks for two fields:
- Legal name
- Country
Press Verify.
What happens next depends on the level you currently need:
- Basic — approved instantly. The card turns green and reads Verified. Any held payouts release through the normal claim flow.
- Identity or Enhanced — your submission opens a review: "Submitted. Our team will complete your verification shortly — your held payouts release as soon as it clears." The card switches to Verification in review — "We're reviewing your details. Any held payouts release as soon as it clears." The moment it clears, held payouts release.
If a review is not approved, the card returns to Verification required. Submit again with corrected details, or contact support if you are unsure what to fix. A rejection holds the affected payouts; it never confiscates them.
Verify before you are ever held
Once you are verified, the card does not disappear — it tells you in advance where the next level kicks in: "You're verified — next level unlocks near $N lifetime payout." That is your cue to clear the next level early and never have a payout held at all.
If you expect to sell at volume, submitting basic verification on day one costs you thirty seconds and removes the first gate entirely.
FAQ
Are held funds ever taken?
No. A verification hold is a pause, not a penalty. The funds sit in escrow until your verification clears, then release through the normal claim flow described in Escrow and getting paid.
Does verification affect my reliability score, my Standing, or my listings?
No. It is entirely separate from reliability, Standing and moderation. Only payout release is gated.
I verified — why is a payout still on hold?
A payout can be blocked by more than one thing at once: an open dispute, a monitor flag, or a frozen wallet also pause releases. Each booking card names its own reason. See Escrow and getting paid and Disputes.
Who sees my legal name?
It is used for verification only. It does not appear on your public channel page, your listing, your reviews, or anywhere an advertiser can see.
I sell through several channels on one account — is verification per channel?
No. The thresholds are per account and count every completed payout across all your listings.
Can I withdraw money already in my wallet while a payout is held?
Yes. The hold applies to the release of that specific payout, not to the balance you already have — provided your wallet is not frozen for a separate reason.
