Downgrading and letting a plan lapse

There is no "cancel subscription" button on Onflow Ads, because there is no subscription to cancel. A membership is a prepaid term that simply ends. Moving down the ladder therefore works differently from moving up: you wait for your current term to finish, then buy the tier you want.

Why you'd use it

  • Your usage dropped and a cheaper rung now covers everything you do.
  • You bought a tier for one busy month and don't need it again.
  • You want to stop paying entirely and go back to Free, keeping your account and everything in it.

The rule: no mid-term downgrades

While a higher tier is active, every lower paid tier is locked:

  • On the Pricing page, the lower tier's button is disabled and reads After [your tier] expires.
  • On the pricing page, the button is disabled with the note "Available after your current plan expires — no mid-term downgrades."
  • If a purchase is attempted anyway, the server refuses with a Lower tier locked message: "You already have [tier] active. Lower tiers can be purchased after it expires."

Nothing is charged in any of those cases. The point of the rule is simple: you can never accidentally pay money to lose benefits you have already bought.

Downgrading is not a refund

Because the block exists, there is also no partial refund for switching down mid-term. You keep everything you paid for until the day it ends.

How to move to a lower tier

  1. Don't renew. Nothing auto-renews, so this step is literally doing nothing. Your term runs to its end date.
  2. Let the term expire. On the expiry date your account reads as Free again.
  3. Buy the lower tier. Every tier's button returns to Get [tier], and the purchase is a plain first-style purchase — no forfeit warning, no checkbox. See Buying a plan.

If you want no gap at all, you can only do this at the moment of expiry — there is no way to schedule a lower tier to begin when the current one ends.

What happens the moment a membership expires

Your account falls back to Free-tier behaviour everywhere, at once, on the website and in the Telegram bot:

AreaWhat changes
Subscriber ExchangeCaps return to Free values (5 enrolled channels, 2 active ads, 7 base placements per cycle), matching priority returns to 0, paid targeting options and grace deletes stop being available
BoostThe standing discount goes to 0%, the per-order ceiling returns to $25, live-order and Auto-Boost caps drop, dripfeed, scheduling, auto-refill, exports and the premium catalogue lock
Paid PromotionsCommission returns to 15%, listing and monthly-placement allowances return to Free values, payout speed returns to "after the full run", monitoring returns to the 60-minute cadence, and paid-only tools (proof certificates, insurance, video creatives, AI picker) lock
Cross-PromotionConcurrent and monthly allowances return to Free values; add-on discounts, boost-credit rewards, insurance and Blitz stop
AIThe allowance returns to the Free level; image generation locks
WalletThe withdrawal fee returns to 15% and you get 1 withdrawal request per month
Analytics and supportAnalytics returns to peak stats, support returns to the community lane, and the premium interface turns off

What is not affected

Expiry never deletes anything:

  • Your account, sign-in and history stay exactly as they are.
  • Your wallet balance is untouched — every cent stays yours and remains spendable in-platform.
  • Your channels, listings, campaigns, orders, templates and saved data all remain.
  • Anything already in flight — a Boost order in delivery, an escrowed booking, a running cross-promotion — is unaffected by expiry, and keeps the terms it was created under.
  • Your Telegram link, notifications and reliability record stay in place.

What changes is what you can do next. Where you are over a Free-tier limit — more listings, more enrolled channels, more concurrent campaigns than Free allows — each product applies its own over-limit rules, described in that product's section of this guide. In general you keep what exists and cannot create more until you're back under the cap or back on a paid tier.

Rules and limits

  • A lower tier cannot be purchased while a higher one is active, on any surface.
  • There is no scheduled downgrade and no queued plan change.
  • There is no cancellation — because nothing recurs, there is nothing to cancel.
  • Expiry is judged on the date, so a membership whose expiry has passed reads as Free everywhere, immediately.
  • Coming back is instant. Buying again at any later date reactivates that tier's benefits right away.

Edge cases

You hold a lifetime membership

A lifetime membership has no expiry, so it never lapses and lower tiers stay locked indefinitely. You can still upgrade — see Upgrading your tier.

You're a legacy $11 Premium account

Letting a legacy membership lapse for 30 days or more permanently releases the legacy price lock, and Plus returns to standard pricing afterwards. Renewing within those 30 days keeps the lock. See How billing works.

You expired mid-way through something

Work already in flight keeps running under the terms it was created with. It is new actions that are metered against your new (Free) allowance.

You want the same tier again after expiry

That's just a purchase. Buying your old tier after expiry starts a fresh term from that day.

Frequently asked

How do I cancel my plan?

There is nothing to cancel — simply don't renew. The membership ends by itself on its expiry date.

Will I be charged automatically at the end of my term?

No. Nothing auto-renews and no payment method is stored.

Can I get a refund for the rest of my term if I stop using it?

No. Terms are prepaid and are not refunded or prorated.

Can I switch to a cheaper tier right now?

Not while your current membership is active. Wait for expiry, then buy the cheaper tier.

Do I lose my data if I go back to Free?

No. Nothing is deleted. Only your limits, fees and available features change.

Will I be reminded before expiry?

Yes, if your Telegram account is linked — reminders at 7 days, 3 days, 24 hours, 6 hours, 2 hours and 30 minutes before the date. Ignore them and the plan simply ends.
