Bot vs Website: Who Does What

Onflow Ads is one product with two halves. Understanding which half owns which job removes almost every "where do I do this?" question, so it is worth two minutes.

The short version, in the bot's own words when you message it:

The bot's own summary

"Everything — your account, channels, campaigns, wallet, orders and support — is managed on the website. This bot only runs your live campaigns inside Telegram and tracks their performance."

The two halves

What the bot does for you

JobWhat that looks like in practice
Runs your campaignsOnce you add the bot as an admin to your channel from the website, it publishes cross-promotion and exchange posts on schedule, leaves them up for the agreed window, then removes them and reports the results.
Counts ad opensButtons on the posts it publishes route through the bot, which is what makes every open measurable. See Ad Posts and Click Tracking.
Delivers your messagesOrder updates, payment alerts, campaign alerts and rewards arrive as instant DMs. See Notifications from the Bot.
Signs you inThe 6-digit handshake behind Continue with Telegram. See Signing In with Telegram.
Pairs your identityRedeems the Connect Telegram link from your Account page. See Connecting Your Telegram.

Shows live campaign numbersIts own real-time tracker, attached to every live cross-promotion. See Live Campaign Tracker.

What the bot deliberately does not do

The bot has no menus, no wizards and no chat commands of its own. This is a design decision, not a missing feature.

  • It does not hold your account settings.
  • It does not take payments; there is no wallet inside the bot.
  • It does not run support conversations.
  • It does not let you build, edit or cancel a campaign in chat.
  • It does not browse the marketplace.

Send it anything at all — a word, a sticker, /help, an old command — and it replies with one card:

  • Onflow Ads Executor
  • "Everything — your account, channels, campaigns, wallet, orders and support — is managed on the website. This bot only runs your live campaigns inside Telegram and tracks their performance."
  • "Add the bot as an admin to your channels from the website, and it takes care of the rest."
  • Button: Open Onflow Ads
Why it works this way

One place to manage everything means nothing can get out of sync. There is no "bot version" of your campaign that disagrees with the "website version", because there is only one version. It also means the bot cannot be tricked into acting on a message that merely looks like a command.

The three exceptions

Three things do happen inside the chat, because they genuinely belong there:

  1. The sign-in code. You type six digits into the chat, because the whole point of the handshake is that the code moves from your browser to your Telegram.
  2. Partner Post Review. When your cross-promotion partner submits their post, the bot shows you the post itself and gives you Accept and Reject buttons in the chat — you are looking at the thing you are judging.
  3. Ad delivery. When a viewer taps a button on a promoted post, the bot answers with a Sponsored Content card and a button onward. That is ad serving, not an interface for you.

Every "Website" row above is reachable from inside Telegram through the Mini App, so "go to the website" rarely means leaving Telegram.

One account, two surfaces

Whichever half you use, there is exactly one account underneath:

  • one wallet balance,
  • one set of channels,
  • one order history,
  • one reliability score,
  • one support thread.

An order you place inside Telegram shows up on the website tagged via Bot, and an order you place in the browser is visible in Telegram. Nothing needs syncing because nothing is duplicated.

The one way to end up with two accounts

Using the bot before you ever registered on the website creates a Telegram-native starter account. If you then register separately with an email, you briefly have two.

The fix is automatic: sign in to your website account in your browser, then open the Mini App from the bot. The starter account is folded in — balances, channels, orders and history combined — and your website account stays primary. Details in Connecting Your Telegram.

Rules and edge cases

The bot needs admin rights on your channel, and nothing else. You add it as an admin when you enroll a channel from the website, so it can publish and remove campaign posts. It does not read your channel's conversations or post anything you did not book.

Retired chat buttons are inert. Onflow Ads used to have a full interface inside the bot. Old buttons still sitting in your chat history answer with a pop-up reading "Manage everything at onflowads.com" instead of leaving you with a spinner.

Old deep links land softly. Links minted for the retired bot interface no longer open a bot screen — they get the same redirect card, so you are never stranded.

The bot never asks you for anything sensitive. It asks for exactly one thing, once: the 6-digit code shown in your own browser during sign-in. It will never ask for a password, a payment detail or a code somebody else sent you.

If the bot is quiet, campaigns still exist. Your campaigns, orders and balance live on the website side. A delivery hiccup in Telegram does not change any of them.

Short FAQ

Is the bot required?

For anything that happens inside Telegram — publishing campaign posts in channels, counting the taps on them, instant alerts — yes. For browsing, booking and paying, the website alone is enough.

Why does the bot ignore my messages?

It does not ignore them; it answers every one with the redirect card. There is nothing else for it to say, because there is no chat interface to drive.

Can I do everything from inside Telegram?

Effectively yes — through the Mini App, which is the website. See Mini App Pages.

Which half do I contact for help?

Neither, directly. Open the support desk at onflowads.com/telegram/dashboard/support, in a browser or inside Telegram.
